When a rail route is planned and it either unearths or comes across areas of historical significance to our past great lengths are taken to preserve it. For example during the Pacific Highway construction between Bulahdelah and Coolongolook, a number of Aboriginal artefacts were unearthed and handed back to local Aborigines. On all infrastructure projects care is taken to protect our Aboriginal and European heritage.
